Block Swap

One of the groups I am a member of is hosting a friendship star block.  There was talk of it quite a while ago, and it was finally posted last week.  There are several different color ways a person could sign up for, batiks, solids, scrappy and Christmas.  I decided to do the Christmas one.  I have plenty of Christmas fabrics in my stash to at least get me a start.  We only have to send in seven blocks a month for nine months, not too much of a commitment, right?  I really like doing swaps, it helps me to really pay attention and make sure I am doing my best work.  I really want to send in blocks that are just right.  It’s fun to wait and receive squishy envelopes in the mail every month.  Here is a picture of the blocks I will be sending in this June.image

Pretty easy huh?  I think it will be easy to keep up with this one.  My goal will be to have it done and quilted by Christmas 2016.

For my other projects I still have the appliqué out and ready to work on some more, but I am really wanting to get back to the machine quilting.  I’m so glad  the machine I had to take in to the repair shop is fixed and picked up!😃.  Now if I could put a few more hours in the day so I could quilt more!
